HEALTH CAREER EXPLORATION CAMP OPPORTUNITY

Thinking about a future in healthcare? MedQuest is a free, hands-on summer camp for Oregon high school students that offers a real introduction to healthcare careers. Students get to shadow health professionals, build practical skills, and connect with resources to help take the next step toward their future—while meeting peers from across the state who share the same interests. Now in its 30th year, MedQuest continues to grow thanks to the support of partners including Oregon Health Authority, American Dental Education Association, Greater Oregon Behavioral Health (GOBHI), and Roundhouse Foundation.

HIGH SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY

Students between the ages of 13 and 17 have an amazing opportunity to participate in the Oregon House of Representatives Honorary Page Program.  This is a unique chance to see firsthand how the governmental process works and looks excellent on your resume and college applications.

Our District Representative, Annessa Hartman would be honored to have a student from any of the schools in her district to serve as an Honorary Page for a day during this upcoming legislative session (February 2nd - March 9th, 2026). As this will be Rep. Hartman's final term, it would be especially meaningful to have a student from our district take part in this civic tradition.

The House Honorary Page Program offers a unique, one-day, hands-on opportunity to learn about the legislative process at the Oregon State Capitol. Honorary Pages assist legislators and House staff, observe floor sessions, and gain firsthand exposure to how state government works. The program operates during the session, and a typical page day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a lunch break.

Students may apply online using the application form here. Additional details about the program, including scheduling, dress code, and expectations, can be found on the Oregon Legislature’s website here.
